behind the account
Before I started consulting brands, I spent over a decade on the retail side, leading national strategy, launching household names, and running multi-million-dollar categories.
But the work that stayed with me most was helping underrepresented founders break through, women-led brands and brands built by people of color with real product, real stories, and not enough access.
I was promoted every two years.
Took on the high-stakes work.
Learned how retail decisions actually get made.
Then came marriage, two babies, a tumor, major surgery during pregnancy, and a cross-country move, and at some point, you take inventory.
If I’m going to work this hard, it better be for work that actually matters.
